TOLAGA BAY R.S.A.
SMALL CREDIT BALANCE REUNION NUXT WEEK (Herald Correspondent.) The Tolaga Bay returned soldiers' reunion will be held on Wednesday, June 2. An eil'ort is being made to get a big muster at the annual meeting by holding il immediately prior to the reunion.
It is hoped that the meeting will be well attended, so that members will be able to ascertain for themselves the uses to which the committee is applying the funds.
The balance sheet shows a small amount, to carry on with. Donations received from private sources amount to £3 9s and funds from dances Cl 7 9s 9d. The annual social was held and proved a ureal success, showing a profit of £3l 5s Id. Against this there have been heavier calls for relief from the members. totalling £45 18s 3d. With I he realisation thai the increased eost of running dames at the present time wmdd preclude any possibility of realising similar profits from that source, the commit lee decided to launch an appeal to the public and the result so far has proved very gratifying. Every endeavour is being made to secure 'a concert party from Oisborne for next Wednesday, 'and it is hoped that all the ■'Diggers" in the district will attend and help along the good work being done by Ihe Oisborne executive.
