RUATORIA WATER SUPPLY
SPORTS GROUNDS' PROJECT FUNDS TO BE RAISED (Herald .Correspondent.) A.meeting of the citizens of Ruatoria, over which Mr. H. T. Fox presided, was held in the Gaiety Hall Ruatoria, on Wednesday evening to go into the question of a water supply for the sports grounds of the tennis, football and bowling clubs. The late Mr. J. M. Reedy was the originator of the .scheme, but his sudden death made it necessary .for a committee to bo formed to complete' the objective. j
The following committee was elected provisionally—Messrs H. T. Fox, P. G. Burton, J. AV. Birch, D. M; Mullooly, ,T. Ward, J. Pcnfold and B. McClut'chie—to .go into the question of the outlay necessary and then to endeavour to raise funds from the various sports bodies concerned and if th.is could be done the work to be put in hand, and it was proposed that some memorial .should be erected to the late Mr. J. M. Reedy, who had been the backbone of sporting activities in the district for so many years.
