POWER BOARD CHAIRMAN MR BALL RE-ELECTED For the fourteenth occasion in succession, Mr. F. R. Ball to-day was reelected chairman of the Poverty Bay Electric-Power Board, the annual meeting of which was held this morning. The nomination of Mr. Ball, proposed, hv Mr. M. T. Trafford and seconded by Mr. C. W. Izod, was the only one received. and was carried by acclamation. In moving Mr. Ball’s return to the chair, Mi'. Trafford remarked that the board bad prospered under Mr. Ball’s leadership, and that no one whom they might put in bis place could perform the duties of the office with such general satisfaction and efficiency.

Acknowledging! his re-election, Mr. Ball warmly expressed his appreciation of the co-operatio* wnich lie had always received from the members of the board, past and present. The success of the board’s operations and its present sound position were the fruits of. that co-opera-tion. Since the inception of the board’s operations, there had never been any other spirit manifested on the part of board members, and since he had held no chairmanship of a public body prior to the time when he became chairman of the board, he owed a great deal to the goodwill of members.
