UAWA COUNTY CHAIRMAN
MR. J. McNBIL RE-ELECTED (Herald Correspondent.) The chairman, Cr. J. McNeil, was re-elected unopposed chairman of the Uawa County Council at the annual meeting on Wednesday, the motion being moved by Cr. F. W. Shelton and seconded by Cr. P. T. Weeks. Cr. McNeil gave a resume of the year’s operations, and thanked the members of the council and the staff for their assistance and for the confidence again reposed in him. Mr. Josiah T. Walker was appointed poundkeeper and ranger, with instructions to impound all stock found wandering on the streets of the township on and after Tuesday, June 1.
