The Archbishp of Canterbury, Dr. Cosmo Lang, speaking in the Upper House at the Convocation of Canterbury, expressed thankfulness for the unimpeded celebration of the Coronation which, he said, eclipsed all of its predecessors in the realisation that the King and Queen deeply i'elt the spiritual significance of the service with which the whole "of the people were associated to an unprecedented extent.
Dr. Lang read the King's reply to the convocation's loyal message, in which lie said he would always support the work of the church whose prayers would sustain him.
Dr. Lang also paid ,a tribute to the services given to Britain's national life by Mr. Stanley Baldwin as Prime Minister.
