PHOTOGRAPHIC SURVEY
POVERTY P.AY STATIONS A low-wing monoplane has attracted the attention of many residents of the district .lining several flights over Oisborne ami the (neighbouring country during the past lew days. The plane has been conducting photographic, survey llights. for the owners of several large properties, including Turihaua station. I'uketiti station, and Mr. 0. Ilevnold.
Tho machine, which was piloted to Oisborne from Hustings by Mr. P. Han asch, accompanied by a mechanic, Mr Tillson, is a' twin-engined Monospar bolonging to New Zealand Aero Mapping. Limited, and has just completed an extensive survey (ask in the ffawke's Hay district. The plane carries tho registration letters AK.IW. Another visitor to Oisborne yesterday was the llawke's Ray and East Coast Aero Club's Moth plane, ZK-AAB, from Hastings. Mr. M. VV. Bateman, who flew the plane solo to Oisborne, pittd a brief business visit to the town and returned later in the day to Hastings.
