TAXIS AND CARRIERS REPORT BY COMMITTEE (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The report of the committee which investigated taxi and town-carrying businesses is being considered by tbe Transport Minister, the lion. li. Semple, who slated to-day that the report was a very comprehensive one and contains some far-reaching recommendations aimed at improving the general efficiency of these two important classes of transport and the working conditions of those engaged in them. some of the recommendations will require legislation to give effect to (hem. The Minister is arranging to have the report printed for the information of the public, lie will make an announcement regarding the action that will he taken as soon as the report has been considered by the Cabinet.
