SETTLEMENT OF STRIKE
TERMS OUTLINED MOTOR TRADE DISPUTE DETROIT, Feb. 11. The points of settlement in the motor industry strike provide that the General Motors Corporation for the next six months will bargain collectively with the A.W.U. exclusively in the 20 plants closed by the strikers, that the union will evacuate all plants forthwith, that all strikers will be reinstated, and that the corporation will withdraw the injunction against the sit-down strikers. Nearly 900 motor strikers marched from three plants cheering.- They were met at the gates by rejoicing relatives and friends. The General Motors Corporation has announced the resumption of the production of motors on Monday in more than 30 industrial cities and expects to be operating at capacity within 12 days. The employers promised to pay a rise of five cents an honr. The increase in a normal year would amount to £5,000,000.
