PRISONERS SENTENCED

NAPIER SUPREME COURT THEFT AND ASSAULT (I'or Press Association.) NAPIER, this day. Frederick William Morley was to-day sentenced to gaol for six mouths, on each of two charges of theft. Mr. Justice Ostler, in passing sentence, said that he regretted that one of the Crown's witnesses was not standing alongside Ihe prisoner. Albert Thomas Smith, labourer, aged 40, for the theft of a model yacht at Napier was, also placed on probation for ;i year. .foe Waikawa, labourer, aged 32, on two charges of false pretences at Wairoa was sentenced similarly.

David William Mcßirney, aged 34, a plumber, for obscene exposure at Napier, was placed on probation for a vear.
