[7AR 100 many windscreen wipers are inefficient in doing the work for which they are designed, the squoego arm not bearing evenly on tho glass, and thus leaving a smeary path behind it. Often t he" rubber of the arm can be made io lie evenly on the glass Injudicious bending <>f the light metal frame into which ii i-; fastened, but it' this fails to effect a cure it is possible that the rubber is wont out. A new arm co'mplete wiTii rubber costs onlv a few peine, and is very easy to install. Should tin electric wiper fail to work, ii is worlh v. Idle testing the switch before any more involved dismantling' is proceeded with. Recently on a new car in which Hie wiper went out of action, il was found that Hie rather cheap switch used was faulty, and replacing it effected an immediate cure.
