A N excellent idea is receiving; prominence in Die English motoring press. Jt. is likely tlint it will he incorporated in production models. Idealising ilie vulnerability to smnll 'dents and scratches of the edges of mudguards and running boards, the suggestion has been made by a prominent Hrifish motorist that they should lie lined with fairly thick but narrow strips of rubber to absorb Die impari in minor collisions. A ear has been titled in this manner, and the effect is neat and unobtrusive, fllnrk rubber against light paintwork can be used to give u pleasing contra si, or the rubber run lie coloured Die same shade as Die rest of Die ear.
