QUARRY WORKER KILLED

STRUCK BY PIECE OF ROCK STONE""THROWN OVER PILE (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, last night.

Struck on the side of the head by a piece of rock about 4in. in diameter, which xvas thrown up during blasting operations at the Summit road quarry, Robert Brice, aged 42, an employee of the Public Works Department, died this afternoon in the Christchurch Hospital. Mr. Grice was married with seven children and living at Kenilworth street, Addington.

The accident occurred in taie 'morning when large boulders were being broken up. Air. Grice was sitting under a ledge at the other side of tHo quarry and the stone was thrown over a pile of rock 13011. high and struck him on the head.
