INVALIDITY PENSIONS
JULY PAYMENT APPLICANTS' DOUBTS (Por Pruss Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. Referring to-day to the invalidity pensions legislation, the Minister iu Charge of Pensions, the lion. \V. E. Parry, said (hat under the section of the Act. any pension granted on an application received within one month after the coming into operation of the Act, September -I to October 4, shall commence from duly 1 last. Doubt had 'been expressed by some applicants who registered within lite month but whose eases had not 'been, finally decided, before the period mentioned expired as to whether, if pensions were now granted, they would receive payment for Hie month stipulated. Mr. Parry said that sis long as the application wsis in between September I and October -I the pension, it' gr.autod, would dale bach to July 1. As October I was a Sunday, uo doubt applications received the following day would be treated as coming within the month's period allowed for the July payment.
