The Xew Zealand flyer, .Miss Joan Batten, arrived at Basra at 3.50 and left, for Karachi at 4.45, where she arrived at 7.10 p.m. local time. She is leaving for Allahabad to-morrow in the continuance of her flight from England to Australia and New Zealand.
.Miss Batten's achievement of two days from London is being highly praised, especially her splendid nighl flying across 1 raq.
Miss Batten says she encountered severe sandstorms over .Task and was compelled to fly at a height of .10,000 feet.
