SPECIAL STAMP ISSUES DEMAND IN AUCKLAND (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this tiny. 1 £o great has been the run in Auckland on the special slumps issued in connection with the congress of the Chambers of Commerce of the British Empire that at the moment there are no supplies of the issues for sixpence, fourpence, and twopence halfpenny. Collectors have been extraordinarily busy and on the opening day oY the sale, October 1, single orders up to £3OO were placed for stamps, some collectors buying for overseas. Postal officials say they have placed no restrictions on the sales, the principle observed being first come first served. Yesterday a further supply of twopence halfpenny and sixpenny stamps was available, the former selling out within half an hour and the latter at midday.
