The Aorangi loaves*Sydney in-mor-row and Auckland next Tuesday for Victoria and Vancouver, via Honolulu and Suva. The Niagara leaves Vancouver and Victoria to-day for Auckland and Sydney, via Honolulu and Suva. The vessel is due at Auckland on October 20 and at Sydney on October 31. The Mnungamti, from Sydney, Wellington, and Rarotonga, left Papeete yesterday for Sun Francisco. The Mnkura, from San Francisco, Papeete, and Rarotonga, leaves, Wellington next Tuesday for Sydney. • The Shell Company's tanker Paint arrived at 1.30 a.m. to-day from Wellington. She was originally expected to reach Gisborne to-morrow, working Napier on route. The ship, which has n. large quantity of bulk benzine as well as some drum cargo for Gisborne, will clear this port about noon to-mor-row for Napier. The Port Line motor-ship Port Hobart, arrived at 7.S p.m. yesterday from Auckland, and this morning commenced her Gisborne loading. She is expected to be dispatched to-night for Napier and Wellington to complete. The Koutunui cleared Auckland at 0.40 p.m. yesterday for Gisborne. She is due here to-morrow. The Pakura sailed from Gisborne at 5.20 p.m. yesterday for Napier and Lyttelton. The Margaret W. was delayed by rain yesterday afternoon at Auckland and was unable to complete loading. She is to be dispatched this afternoon I for Tokomaru Bay, Tolaga Bay .and Gisborne, arriving here on Friday morning. Advice has been received that the erection of a light, at the entrance to Milforj Sound has been favourably considered by the Marine Department, which is calling lenders shortly for n light to be erected on St, Anne’s Head,, at the southern entrance to the Sound. It is expected that the light will lie in operation before the summer of 1037.
