RIVERS IN FLOOD
Heavy inland rains resulted in the flooding of the West Coast rivers on . Saturday. The Hokitika, Arahura, Teremakau, and Grey rivers were, all in flood, hut little damage was caused. ■» Exceptionally large quantities of driftwood came down the Hokitika and Grey rivers. The flood reached a record height inland about 14 miles from Hokitika.
