The old courthouse in Waipiro Bay is to be converted for use as a post office for the township, according to information conveyed to Mr. A. Gordon Hultquist, M.P. for the Bay or Plenty, in response to an inquiry made recently. The inquiry from the member for the Bay of Plenty enclosed a petition from a number of residents in Waipiro Bay asking for the conversion of the old courthouse, now disused, so that improved facilities might be given for the transaction of post and. telegraph business.
