NEW INDUSTRIES POSSIBLE
That the advent of the railway must result in an expansion in the importance Of Gisborne as a business centre, is admitted on all sides, and already rumours are abroad that new industrios will be started in the district. Amongst these are mentioned vSa woollen manufacturing company, a fruit cannery and a jam-making- factory. At present nothing definite is apparently fixed, but there is no doubt that, many persons are looking- forward with confidence to the future of Gisborne. The town lias historical associations throughout Now Zealand, chiefly by reason of the arrival of Captain Cook. Of later years it was known as the home town of that wellknown cough elixir and chest- strengthoner, One Nought One, which is now sold in many towns throughout the Dominion. As a remedy for all chest affections it stands second to none, and remarkable cases are quoted Oil its efficacy for influenza. In addition, its powerful antiseptic qualities cleanse the throat of all impure germs, and this lessens the risk <xf disease. The famous elixir is on sale at all the leading stores a;ncl at Rramwell’s Pharmacy at hnlf-n-crown a bottle. This price, considering that the mixture is four times as strong as any ordinary cough mixture, makes it the cheapest on the market.*
