MILTON’S COTTAGE.—Recent advice from England stated that John Milton's trustees announced that Lord Wakefield had expressed his deSire to purchase a piece of land adjoining t he cottage at Chalfort St. Giles, in Buckinghamshire, and present it to the trustees as a means of associating with Milton's cottage the ward of Bread street, in the City of London of which Lord Wakefield is alderman, and in which Milton was born. The cost of the piece of land required is only £l2oo, and there was a likelihood of its being sold for building allotments.
