HAREWOOD SITE CONSTRUCTION TO PROCEED (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, last, night. A decision to commence the construction of the Christchurch aerodrome at Harewood as- soon as- possible was made at a special meeting of the City Council to-night. The works committee was authorised to complete arrangements with the Government, on the basis of its offer of a subsidy £ for £ on the labour cost of the formation. According to a statement made by the Mayor, the total cost to the council will be.' about £30,000. In addition, it is estimated that the Government subsidy will be £7OOO.
