MAN INJURES FOOT While chopping titree ;d McLeod’s Bay, Waihekr, .Mr. 11. Smith, aged 22. inflicted a deep gasli in bis foot. Mr. Smith was then transferred to a motor truck and driven a further three miles to Oncroa, where the Waihrke district nurse inserted three stitches'in the wound. He was taken to Auckland by the steamer Uncwa, and sent to hospital.
