VOLCANO ACTIVE
REYKJAVIK, Iceland, Aug. 27.
The Grimsvoetu volcano, one of more than .100 on this island, was believed to be erupting to-night. A column of volcanic ash had been hanging over the Yatnajoekel Mountains in the south-east, where the volcano is located, for .several days. Rivers in the vicinity were swelling rapidly.
