GTSBORNE'S DISABILITY i Gisborne's disabilities in regard to the' shipment of butter were mentioned at a meeting of dairy company representatives on Saturday, when Mr. A. ,f. I Murdoch, chairman of the Dairy Board, and Mr. T. C. Brash, secretary, ! attended. Mr. H. P. Hamilton, secretary of the; Okitu Co-operative Dairy Company,; Limited, urged that because of the imcertainty of shipment from Gisborno, 1 butter should lie paid for a few days j after receipt of it, at the grading store. | Mr. Brash said that; the Dairy Board had gone, to a good dead of trouble in the past. 1o meet, the position in Gisborne, from which shipments were at times far ahead of the rest of the Dominion, although he agreed that at other times Gisborno was behind. Ho did not think that the Marketing Department, would niter the arrangements for .shipment, for the same staff was handling the position as in the past. The Dairy Board's conference suggested that if it was rfceessary to hold the produce longer than in the past, the Government should give consideration to paying for the butter before shipment.
