PARIS FEARS OF STRIFE
CLASHES OF FACTIONS CABINET PRECAUTIONS DEMONSTRATIONS BANNED (Elec. Tol. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Reed. Oct. 3, 11.15 a.m.) PARIS, Oct. 2. Fears of a renewal of French internal strife arc disclosed in an announcement that, the, Government has ordered an investigation into the activities of the Social Party which Colonel de la Roque created following the dissolution of the Croix de Feu.
Colonel de la Roque’s propaganda in North Africa is specially resented by Communists and Socialists.
The Government has also banned a demonstration by the Social Party and a Communists’ counter-demonstration arranged for to-night, and has forbidden M. de Grelle, the leader of the Belgian Rexists, to present a lecture.
