FIRE DAMAGE UNCERTAIN

(Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day
The Union Steam Ship Company’s Steamer Wingntui arrived at 2 o’clock this afternoon from Napier.
The company’s officials state that until the cargo is removed an actual assessment of the damage cannot be made in respect to the fire in the hold of the vessel during the voyage from the south and which was extinguished when the call was made at Napier.
