Cow Family’s Record
THE Canadian- Ayrshire Breeders’ Association reports that: a new Ayrshire record has been set when one family of cows —mother, daughter and granddaughter—have each produced more than 100,0001 b. of milk.
The oldest, of the Ayrshires, Briery Belle of Sunny Slope 2nd, bred by Edwin Reid, of Souris, P.E.1., besides exceeding production of the .100,00011). mark, lias just completed a record of 12,0031 b. of milk, 4681 b. of fat, in 305 days. She is .1.(5 years old.
Her daughter, Sunny Slope Bonny Jean, owned by W. D. Black, of AVnterdown, Out., has produced 103,414 lbs. qf milk, 43411 b. of butterfat, in '2912 milking days. The granddaughter, AVinswept Betty, owned by Gavin ,D. Reid, son of Edwin Reid, reached the production mark of 102,0821 b. of milk, 42211 b. of fat in seven lactations.
