Herd Testing Increase
MB. E. AY. Leach, chairman of the .Southern Hawke’s Bay Herd Testing Association, speaking to u representative of tlio Dannevirkc News, said he was pleased t.o state that, more farmers this season were going in for the testing of their herds. At present f>9 herds were being tested as compared with four last season, there being approximately 1000 more cows, which whs a very healthy sign that dairy farmers were beginning to realise the value of the movement. He mentioned that at present the association had two testing officers fully employed, with one parttime officer.
