SUBMITS TO ITALY
ABYSSINIAN IN PARIS
PARIS, Sept, 25. The Ethiopian Ambassador* to Paris, Wolde Mariam. formerly Haile Selassies delegate to the League of Nations, has formally submitted to Italy and .recognised 'ltalian sovereignty over his country. The' Italian Ambassador to Paris, Signor Cerutti, rose from a sick bed to receive Wolde Mariam, who, in a formal statement, said: "I of my own free Will ■■crept the sovereignty of His Majesty the King of Italy and Emperor of Ethiopia. T declare solemnly that 1 do not recognise any other authority in Ethiopia except that of Victor Emmanuel, King of Italy and Emperor of Ethiopia."
