DISARMAMENT MOVE
INITIATIVE OF FRANCE "SUICIDAL ARMS RACE" COMMISSION CONVENED (Elec. Tol. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Reed. Oct, 2, 11 a.m.) LONDON, Oct. .1. A Geneva, message states that the Bureau of the League Assembly has decided to convene a third Disarmament Commission. The commission has not met for there : ,years. The Associated Press Geneva correspondent says that Mr. W. J. Jordan and Mr. S. 51. Bruce will represent New Zealand and Australia respectively on the disarmament committee at which France hopes to check what she thinks is a suicidal armaments race. Hungary •announced her abstention in view of certain Powers' claims to equality of rights.
