RETURN TO LONDON
ARRIVAL OF THE KING NOT SEEN BY CROWD (Heed. Oct. 2, 11 a.m.) LONDON, Oct. L The King arrived at London today from a holiday at Balmoral. Ho drove to Buckingham Palace and was not recognised by the large crowd which had gathered to welcome him at Euston station, as when leaving the station, he sat at the back of a car, the rear blinds of which were drawn. He breakfasted with Queen Mary. Queen Mary left the Palace after lunch to take' up permanent residence at Marlborough House, where her personal standard was hoisted. The King accompanied his mother to her new residence.
