WEDDING

• Of interest td a wide circle of friends in the Waikato and Gisborne districts was the. wedding, in the Methodist CHurch, Mbrrihsvifle:,. on Monday of last week, when Rita Fiances, only daughter ?of Mr. and Mrs, F. A. Pickett, »tud-. 'iiolme street, Morrinsville, was married to Stanley Charles, second son of 31ft and Mrs. F. P. Jeune, Gisborne. Friends of the bride had beautifully decorated the church with golden spring blossoms to tone with the frocks of the bridal party. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. A. A. Rensley. Mrs.,C. J. Brook, Auckplayed the wedding music. The bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a lovely gown of magnolia craquele satin. Fashioned on Grecian lines, the corsage was finished with a cowled decollet'te, held in place with a spray of gilded flowers and gold ■clasp, and the long pleated sleeves fitted lover the wrist. The skirt, which fitted closely over the hips, fell flared to the hemline. The filmy veil, of very old lace, was held tightly 'to- the head with a. I wreatli of orange blossoms,, aiid flowed ' down to form a long graceful train. A sheaf of lilies of the valley, palest daffodils and maidenhair fern was carried. In attendance as -bridesmaids were Miss Biddy Bentley, Hamilton, and Miss Joan Bell.Tauranga, cousin of the bride. Mr. S. Vincent, of Gisborne, was best man, Mr. F. Pickett, was groomsman, and Messrs. R. Pickett and S. Pickett were ushers. ' At' a reception and dance held in the ■Masonic Hall the guests were received by Mrs. PickeMy who was wearing a frock of marsh brown tucked Chantilly lace "and georgette over satin; with hat of natural leghorn straw, with marigold and nigger thrown flower sprays. Her posy was in autumn tints." Mrs. Jeune, the bridegroom's mother, wore an ensemble of deep blue floral boucle crepe, navy hat. of stitched taffeta, and carried a posy of r violcts and ranunculi to tone.

When the bride and bridegroom left •on their honeymoon, the bride travelled in a suit of copper-rust worsted, with a Pegg Vane toque of stitched taffeta, and eye veil. Her shoulder furs were of mink skins.
