SHORT STAY IN PARIS
MR. ANTHONY EDEN TALK WITH M. BLUM (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 1.15 p.m. RUGBY, Sept. 21. During a brief stay itt Paris on the way to Geneva, the Foreign Secretary, Mr. Anthony Eden, was received by M. Leon Blum, the French Prime Minister. No details of the conversations were made public, but M. Bluni later informed the press that he and Mr. Eden discussed the general .situation and the work of the League of Nations, and; they were much pleased with the talk. Newspapers assume that the preparations for the proposed five-Power conference Was one of the principal subjects of discussion and that anxious examination was also given, to the Spanish problem, with particular reference to the attitude of Portugal towards the international committee lor the application of the agreement on. non-interven-tion.
