DEATH IN LIVERPOOL
MR. FRANK HORNBY MECCANO IN VENTOR (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 1.15 p.m. RUGBY, Sept. 21. MV. Frank Hornby, a former member of Parliament for a Liverpool constituency, died there to-day following an operation. He was in his seventy-fourth year. Mr. Hornby was the inventor of the Meccano toys and the Hornby toy trains, and from a small workshop with one assistant. he built up a business of worldwide reputation with factories covering five acres and employing 1500 people.
