DEATH IN SOUTHLAND
MR. JAMES HA IN (Par Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, this day. The death occurred to-day of Mr. .Tames Hain, for many years headmaster in the Park and 1 South. Schools, Invercargill. He was 73 years of age. Ho was horn in Ballarat and arrived in Southland in 1880. lie was a. prominent bowler with an Australian and New Zealand reputation, lie is survived by bis widow and one daughter, Mrs. Walter J. Jones, ilis son Stanley was killed in action in one of the Somme battles during the Great War.
