MOUNT MORGAN MINE
INCREASE IN OUTPUT DEVE LOI ALE NT PR OPOS ALS (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Following a, recent visit of 111© chairman and deputy chairman of Mount Morgan, Limited, to the mine, a. circular has been issued to shareholders! outlining the improvement expected when the oxidised ore treatment plant begins operations in November. The initial capacity of the plant will be 6000 tons a week, and 1,500,000 tons of this oxidised, material has already been sampled and tested, and transferred to the ore reserves. An enlargement of the power house is scheduled. The, concentrating mill lias a, present capacity of 7500 tons a. week and further enlargements are in progress. By the development of'an open cut shortly it should bo possible to maintain an output of 30,000 tons of average grado sulphide ore monthly andi 25.000 tons of oxidised ore, making a total of 55,000 tons throughout.
