At about 8 p.m. a motor lorry driven by Mr. Nuia, of Bartlett’s camp, struck a gig driven by Mr. T. TJpton, also a resident of Bartlett’s, who bad with him ns a passenger Mrs. d. Blomski, Mnriwai. Mrs. Blomski was thrown from (be lighter vehicle, and struck (he roadway with considerable force, the blow rendering her unconscious, and indicting a wound requiring several stitches. She did not recover consciousness until four hours later, and will lie confined to bed for a week or more in consequence of the injuries and shock. The gig was extensively damaged, but the lorry escaped lightly from the collision.—Special.
