PLUNGE INTO RIVER
CAR GOES OVER BANK THREE OCCUPANTS HURT (Per Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, this day. Early on Sunday morning, a car driven by Lancelot William Donaldson, an employee of Burwood station, failed to negotiate ,a corner on the road from Mossburn to the Public Works Department camp at Mount Hamilton, and crashed over a 25-foot bhnk into a river. The driver escaped unhurt, but three passengers were injured. Charles Webb, of Invercargill, suffered severe head injuries and a broken right log'. Edward William Beihvell suffered head injuries, and Ralph Cole Scott head injuries and .fractured ribs.
The victims were brought by ambulance to the Southland Hospital, and their condition is reported as satisfactory.
