HALVIN'—STAITU

Recently the wedding took place at St. Paul’s Pro-Cathedral, Wellington, of Mrs. Margaret 'Constance Staite, daughter of Mrs. E. C. Douglas, Sydney, arid Mr. F. 11. G. Galvin, of Gisborne.

The bride, who was given away by Mr. Robert Telford, sen., wore a model ensemble of beige cloche, the three-quarter-length coat being edged with brown fox fur. Her picture hat of brown baku straw was trimmed with flat honey-coloured daisies, and she carried a bouquet of golden hyacinths and carnations. Mrs. G. .left’s, sister of the bridegroom, was matron of honour and wore an ean-de-nil ensemble with picture hat to tone. Her bouquet was of laehenalia, freesias and maidenhair fern. Mr. W. E. Matheson, Auckland, acted as best man.

During the signing of the register, “My Prayer” was sung by Miss Christina Young.

A reception was held at the Airport Tea Rooms, Rongotai, which were decorated with masses of spring flowers. During the evening items were given by Madame and Air. Leon de Alaiiny, Aliss Christina Young, Atiss Nora. Ward and Airs. A. Griftin. When Air. and Airs. Galvin left by car for a tour of the. north, the bride wore a black failleur costume with smart black bowler hat and furs. HUNT—MURRAY A very pretty wedding was solemnised at the Church of Christ, on Saturday evening, when Shirley Eileen, third daughter of Air. and Airs. George Murray, formerly of Gisborne, and Roger, the eldest son of Mr. and Airs. Harry Hunt, Gisborne, were married. Pastor Usmav received the. bride and bridegroom at the. altar. The church had been tastefully decorated by friends of tho bride and bridegroom. .Miss Grundy olliciatod at the organ. Tho bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr. B. Murray, To Karnka, looked graceful in a charming gown of white -satin with an embroidered veil and headdress of orange blossom. A beautiful bouquet of heather, freesias and asparagus fern was carried. Tho bridesmaids, the Alisses Ivy and Mavis Hunt, were flocked in green crepe de. chine, with hats to tone. Air. F. E. Hall was tho best man. A reception was hold in tho Orange Hall, where the many friends of the bride and bridegroom spent a. happy time with songs and -dancing.
