TOKOMARU BAY CLUB ANNUAL MEETING (Heralil Correspondent.) The annual mealing of the Tokomam Bay 'Tennis Chib, held on Friday evening, was moderately attended. Mr. F. Nathan was voted to the chair. An apology for absence was received from Air. C. Bowen. The secretary's report was read by Air. S. G. Lylc-Smythe, who gave a very satisfactory account, of last season’s activities. A letter was read from Dr. N. Pi. Alackay, the past president, who tendered his resignation and donated his amount-of the loan to the dub. It was decided that Dr. Alackay should be thanked for his donation, and in recognition .of his services lie was made a life member.

The following new members were ,elected:—- Mesdamcs H. Beattie, E. Knox, and A. E. Nodwell; Alisses M. Savage, B. Oates, AL Walker, M. Busby and .f. Jefferd; Messrs. G. Forbes, IT. D. Gardner, A. E. Nodwell, E. Knox, A. On key , H. Smith, A. ,T. White, K. Oates, L. Burdett and K. Ball.

The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted:—Patron, Mr. A. B. Williams; president, Air. W. L. Wheeler; vice-presidents, Alessrs. 0. T. .lofferd, G. Eivers, F. Nathan, and Captain S. J. Plummer; hop. secretary, Mr. S. G. Lyle-Snivthe; lion, treasurer, Air. T. Godbcr; committee, Alisses D. Popper, E. Plummer, X. Hill, and,Mrs. E. Knox; Messrs. P. Nathan, R. Riseborough, A. .1. White and C. Bowen. It was decided that the club committee and the social committee should be one, consisting of eight members, four ladies and four men. Instead of electing a green supervisor, it, was decided to elect a greens committee of three members, Alessrs. C. Bowen, A. E. Nodwell and E. Knox. The selection committee comprises Alessrs. C. Bowen and E. Knox. Aliss E. Plummer was elected the delegate to the Poverty Bay Lawn Tennis Association.

It was decided to write to Mr. A. Johnson, last year’s treasurer, thanking him for his. services to the club. It was agreed that Air. Bowen should be written to, and thanked for Hie trophies he presented for competition, the excellent work he put in as green supervisor, and for his interest in the club.

M r. J. Todd was again elected auditor and was thanked for his honorary services to the club. 'The subscription remains the same as last season, £1 las for men and £1 ns for ladies, further reducablc by 10s if paid by November 20. The entrance fee was eliminated. Tho subscription for sclio.ol children has been reduced to 7s fid, but children are prohibited on the courts on Thursday. Saturday and Sunday afternoons. If was resolved to make a ladder for children, and this matter was discussed by the committee. Opening day lias been fixed for October 4, when a combined Yankee tournament will be played.-
