DEATH AFTER A MONTH
FRACTURE OF SKULL COLLAPSE IN STREET N.Z. MAN IN SYDNEY (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Reed. Sept. .19, 11.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, Sept. 19. An injury received in New Zealand about a month ago is believed to have caused the death yesterday of Avon Alexander West, aged 24 years, who arrived in Australia three weeks ago. Mr. West's body was found in a street of tho suburb of Waterloo. A few minutes earlier he had been seen walking along the street dressed in pyjamas and an overcoat and evidently in paiu. A Government medical officer found that; he died from a fractured skull, although there was no external fracture Mr. West, who is thought to have been a boxer in New Zealand, had complained of feeling ill both on the trip over.and since his arrival,, although, ho had. been working . every day. Inquiries will be made in New Zealand, and arrangements" are being made to send the body home. .
