VALEDICTORY DANCE
PRESENTATION TO OTJ MACK AY
(Herald Correspondent.)
On Monday night Dr. R. X. Maekay, who let'l Hit' district to-day for Wellington, was the guest of honuur at a dance in the To I'uia Hall given by the residents of Te I'nia. The hull was decorated with native rrreeneiy and along the fronl of the stage were largo bowls of red camellias and Corn. The supper tables were
a Maze of artistically-arranged vases of daffodils. Music was supplied by Wi Plupi's orchestra and extras were contributed by Mrs. D. Crawford, Miss K. Reale and Mr. T. Caesar, violin. Mr. 11. Clewos capably carried out the duties of M.C.
During the evening Mr. C. .11. MeCraekon mentioned the valuable work Dr. Mack-ay had done during his L<l years on the ('nasi, and said how greatly lie would lie missed, and wished him ail ihe best of luck. Ai the conelusion Mr. Mc.Cracken presented Dr. Mack ay with tt cheque from all those present. Dr. Maekay suitably responded and sai.l he was very sorry to be leaving.
