Coronation interest, in the dressmaker'h world is growing. Hern is the jewel eode for fabrics and colours evolved by Mr. Peter Russell.
Diamonds. —The perfect material foi wear with diamonds will be white satin, with jewels actually let into it —black onyx outlined with diamante and inserted here and there, as if the fabric were spotted. Emeralds. —Apple juice white, a new pale lime shade, will be the colour of the satin created into Coronation gowns to accompany emeralds. Sapphires.—With them will be worn .i spun glass hopsack fabric, actually of a lavender shade, but with, a glassy surface. Amethysts. Moire woven wit' golden glass, the shot shades being mauve and chartheuse yellow.
