To enable consideration to be given to the question of resuming the practice of supplying Hags where vcquired the department asked for information regarding the approximate number of flags that, would he required to meet present needs. Flags would be supplied on the. sumo conditions as previously : (a) If a suitable flagpole was available,"one flag would lie provided free to all new school*, or to any schools thai had nor previously had one. (b) In case of the destruction of a school by fire a new flag to be provided free or cost, (e) Tn all other cases of replacement a refund of half cost io be made by the committee, (d) The foregoing did not apply In grade. 0 schools, to which flags arc nor supplied. The necessary information is to be supplied by the board.
