INCREASE IN MARRIAGES
RECORD FOR N.S.W. FIGURES FOR HALF-YEAR (Reed. Sept. 18, noon) SYDNEY, Sept. 18. The number of marriages for New South Wales for the six months ended on dime 20 was 11,511 and was the highest on record for a half-yearly period. The number of marriages in Victoria 8224 in the corresponding period was smaller than in New South Wales, but the proportion -to population was greater.
