BOARD MEETINGS CHAIRMAN CITES RULING (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Following the incident at the meeting of the Wellington Education Board on Tuesday night, when a member refused to comply with the terms of a motion, the chairman, Air. W. V. Dyer, has issued a statement- concerning the. publication of reports of its meetings. Mr. Dyer, while refusing to give an official report on the incident, states that the board is not obliged to make public any of its proceedings. It has been ruled by the Crown Law Office that the proceedings of the board do not constitute a public meeting and the press and representatives of the public may attend open meetings of the board only by courtesy, said Mr. Dyer.
