SPEED LIMIT EXCEEDED
OVER 30 MILES AN HOUR PINES IN CITY COURT (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Stated by Mr. A. It. Cooper for the Wellington City Council to. be the first prosecution under the Motor Vehicle Amendment Act, 1936. Patrick Joseph Boyle was charged in Ihe Magistrate’s Court to-day with exceeding a speed of 30 miles an hour on the Ilutt road. Mr. Cooper pointed out that the Act imposed a limit of 30' miles in boroughs. A penalty of 10s and costs 'was imposed by the. magistrate, who remarked that the case should serve, as a warning. Three other similar offenders were similarly punished
