MARRIAGES INCREASED
RECORD IN VICTORIA FIGURES FOR HALF YEAR (Reed. Sept. 17. noon) MELBOURNE, Sept. 17. The number of marriages in Victoria in the six months ended on June 30, namely 8224. was llie highest on record. The Government Statistician said the improvement on the corresponding period last year, when the number was 7717. was probably due to the revival of industry and the better financial outlook throughout Australia.
