A decree is being published authorising the formation of a “Portuguese legion, as a voluntary army to combat communism and anarchism.
■ “Portugal lias her own defined doctrines, but the people are alarmed at the perils from which other countries are suffering,” says the decree. “Twenty thousand men have volunteered to form a legion, and the Government has accordingly given the legion shape.”
