NEW CUNARD LINER

WORK IN DECEMBER KING TO LAY PLATE (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 9.30 a.m. RUGBY, Sept. 15. The construction of the Canard-While Star liner No. 552. a sister ship to the Queen Mary, is to begin in December. Work on placing in position the keel blocks of fir wood, specially chosen to avoid the danger of combust ion when the ship runs down the slipway, is beginning immediately. The keel laying will probably he completed about March. The Daily Telegraph says that the King has expressed his willingness to lay the first keel plate of the new liner.
